TraderWorkbench is a special-interest group app focusing on computational & evidence based investing and technology. Computational investing or algorithmic trading is the use of an automated system for carrying out trading or investment decisions in a pre-determined manner. Most of the time spent when developing an algorithm is focussed on research. Evidence Based Investing (EBI) is an approach that tries to specify the way in which fund managers, analysts, investors/traders etc should make investment or trading decisions by identifying any evidence that there may be for a given practice and rating it according to how scientifically sound it is. The goal of EBI is to eliminate unsound or excessively risky investment and trading practices in favor of those that have better outcomes.
